No. RLYB is an independent nonprofit organization. We use WSSD facilities but are not district‑sponsored.

RLYB serves boys in grades K–8 and girls in grades K–6 who reside within the West Shore School District attendance area. Limited exceptions may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis when they align with program needs and do not impact roster balance or gym availability.

League‑wide cancellations and facility closures are sent through email.

Rec practice and game changes are communicated by the league and your coach.

Travel practice changes and tournament updates are communicated directly by your coach, and tournament directors may also issue updates through their event platforms.

Recreation games are held on Saturdays at West Shore School District facilities. Travel game schedules vary by league and tournament, and games may be played at local schools, regional venues, or weekend tournament sites.

Refunds are available only while the regular registration is open. Once the registration period closes, all fees are non‑refundable except in the case of a documented medical condition that prevents participation.

Rec practices begin in November, and Rec games run from January through the end of February. Travel practices begin shortly after tryouts, and league games and tournaments typically run from December through early March, depending on the division.

FootballMania SuperMatch is a sweepstakes‑based fundraiser tied to the Super Bowl. Each game card includes a set of numbers. To play, simply match the numbers on your card with the score at the end of each quarter of the game. If your numbers match the winning score combinations for a quarter, you can win a cash prize.

Two FootballMania SuperMatch game cards are included with your RLYB registration. All cards are already activated by RLYB before distribution. Families may keep the cards or sell them to others, and any money collected from buyers goes directly to the family since the cards were included in the registration fee. Buyers do not pay RLYB — they pay the family selling the card.

Whether the parent keeps the card or sells it, the card owner must register the card online using the QR code or registration link. Registration provides the contact information needed for CharityMania to notify and pay winners.

Registration is completed online through TeamSideline. Most programs open in August, and registration remains open until divisions reach capacity.

If a division reaches capacity, players are placed on a waitlist. As openings become available, players are added in the order they joined the list. Waitlist placement does not guarantee that a spot will open, and families will only be charged registration fees if their child is accepted from the waitlist. Families will be notified by email if an opening becomes available.

TeamSideline accepts major credit and debit cards, and this is the fastest way to complete registration. RLYB also accepts Venmo and checks; however, these payments require additional processing time, and registration is not complete until the payment is received and marked as paid in TeamSideline.

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email. Rosters are formed after registration closes, and families will receive practice schedules, team assignments, and season details before the start of practices. Rec players participate in evaluations to help form balanced teams. Travel players attend tryouts shortly after registration, and team placements are finalized once tryouts are complete.  

Rec registrations with unpaid balances may be cancelled and offered to players on the waitlist. Travel registration is free, and families only pay if their child is selected for a team.

You may list conflicts during registration. Coaches will accommodate when possible, but requests are not guaranteed.

Special requests may be submitted during registration. RLYB considers all requests but cannot guarantee placement.

Rec and Travel team sponsors receive recognition on the RLYB website, social media, and in our email communications through a permanent link to our Sponsors page. All sponsors also receive a sponsorship plaque with the team photo. Rec sponsors additionally receive their name on team shirts. Parents and community members may volunteer as coaches, helpers, or support staff. You can sign up to volunteer during registration on TeamSideline or by visiting the Volunteering page, which includes all roles, requirements, and instructions.

Teams are formed using evaluation day results to create balanced rosters across each division. All registered players are placed on a team.
