recreation
general
The recreational program is open to boys in grades K–8 and girls in grades K–6 who reside in the West Shore School District. There is no tryout; however, an evaluation day is held to help form well‑balanced teams. Registration opens in August, evaluations take place in October, practices begin in November, and the season runs from January through early March.
Practices
Teams practice once per week for one hour at West Shore School District facilities. Each coach selects the practice day and location for their team, and this information will be shared directly with families after teams are formed.
Games
Recreation games are held on Saturdays across West Shore School District facilities. Game times vary by division, with younger grades generally playing in the morning and older divisions scheduled in the afternoon or evening. Full game details for each division are provided on its dedicated page.
